Founders Lair is on a mission to accelerate the world’s transformation to a decentralized and digital innovation ecosystem.

As a website-based open innovation platform, we regularly receive personal data as part of our services.
Personal data is not only created by a user’s interactions with Founders Lair websites and apps. 1.2.5 Log files

Founders Lair follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this as part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Technical Information. When you visit our website, we collect information relating to the devices you use and the networks to which you are connected.  This technical information, includes your IP address, log-in information, bandwidth used, time of visit, browser type and version, browser plug-ins types and versions, operating system, information about your visit including the URL click-stream, download/upload errors, pages visited, page interactions, and other connection data held in our logs. We collect this information using different technologies, like cookies (see our Cookies Notice below).

In collecting the Personal Data, the Data Controller shall inform the data subject, of such details:

(1) the purpose of the collection.

(2) notification of the case where the data subject must provide his or her Personal Data for compliance with a law, or contract, including notification of the possible effect where the data subject does not provide such Personal Data.

(3) the Personal Data to be collected and the period for which the Personal Data will be retained.

1.3 How long we retain your data

Information you have shared with others (e.g., through messages, applications, public company profile, programs/projects published, chats or on message boards/walls) will remain visible after you close your account, but will be anonymized. Your profile may continue to be displayed in the services of others (e.g., search engine results) until the user refreshes their cache.
We may also retain your personal data for an additional period to the extent necessary to assert or defend against legal claims.

We store your personal data in Asia. Our data center is located in Hong Kong. If you use our website, your personal data may be shared among Founders Lair partners and clients (both inside and outside Asia).
We may also transfer personal data to third parties, including those based outside Asia, for example (but not limited to) sub-contractors and third parties involved in providing services, clients or partners. When we transfer your personal data, we will do this in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will take appropriate safeguards to ensure its integrity and protection.
Every time you apply to a program or project on Founders Lair, part of your personal data and startup data is accessible by the program manager/owner/organizer (our client). In addition, when the program manager is interested in your profile, the full data about your application is shared with them. Our clients have full access to the data provided by applicants during the application and evaluation process.
This is necessary to ensure a selection process for startups that have applied to projects and programs listed on Founders Lair platform.
